Ms Agnes Chopin, CSR and Employee Engagement intern in Bollore Logistics, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs in Changi on 11 Jul. This is the 2nd talk we conducted for Bollore Logistics this year.

On 11 Jul, Earth Society team reached Bollore Logisitics Changi at 11.45 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 20 staffs from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm. We presented on the effects of Climate change on the world and showcased various solutions that scientists recommended to curb climate change. (Plant trees, Eat less meat, Green energy and 3Rs). We also touched on issues such as world hunger and water shortage. At the end of the talk, many staffs came forward to provide feedback for the talk. Bollore Logisitics catered vegetarian lunch for their staffs during this event.

Mr Raihan, EHS Engineer from PerkinElmer Singapore, invited Earth Society to conduct a company lunch talk for their staffs on 12 Jul. The talk was part of their Enivronment, Health and Safety (EHS) Day event. Mr Raihan hoped that our talk will engage the staffs and raise awareness on climate change and environmental issues.

On 12 Jul, Earth Society team reached PerkinElmer Singapore at 9.30 am. We conducted a Global Warming talk for 40 staffs from 9.45 am to 10.45 am. The staffs listened attentively to the talk and provided some feedbacks after the talk.

After the talk, Earth Society team stayed behind to listen to a presentation by Zero Waste Singapore on Plastic pollution and reducing the use of disposables and plastic bags/ bottles. We left PerkinElmer Singapore at 12 pm.

We are glad that more and more companies are engaging NGOs to speak to their staffs about environmental protection during their EHS events. We hope that the environment movement will gain momentum and many people will become more Eco-conscious and take actions to protect the environment.
